"tune out"ってどういう意味? ~ニュースで学ぶ英語~

オックスフォード英英辞典によると、

tune out  :  stop listening or paying attention to something

つまり、無視する、関心を示さなくなるという意味になります。

ニュースでの使用例

"U.S. and European TV audiences are tuning out the Games."

意味：アメリカとヨーロッパのテレビ視聴者は、オリンピックに興味を示さなくなっている。
