"far-fetched"ってどういう意味? ~ニュースで学ぶ英語~

オックスフォード英英辞典によると、

far-fetched  :  unlikely and unconvincing

つまり、ありそうもない、こじつけのという意味になります。

ニュースでの使用例

"Her question is perhaps not that far-fetched, given the dreamlike landscape that surrounds us."

意味：私たちを取り囲む夢のような景色を考えると、彼女の質問はそれほど突飛なものではない。
