オックスフォード英英辞典によると、

as is :  in the existing circumstances

つまり、現状のままでという意味になります。

ニュースで使われていた文章

"Discounted merchandise is sold as is and can't be returned or exchanged."

意味：割引商品は現状のままで販売され、返品や交換はできません。

文章例

The car is being sold as is, with no warranty.
その車は現状のままで、保証なしで販売されている。

Let’s publish the article as is. It looks good enough.
この記事はこのまま公開しよう。いい仕上がりだね。
