オックスフォード英英辞典によると、

in store for  :  coming in the future; about to happen

つまり、(将来)差し迫る、起ころうとしているとなります。

ニュースでの使用例

"Her goal is to educate her Japanese viewers as to what is in store for them as they sign up for their vaccination appointments"

意味：彼女の目標は、予防接種を行う際に起こりうる事について日本人の視聴者を教育することです。
